Some lessons learned:
- System downtime – Last month we got some media coverage including Avri Gilad’s morning show, and an item on Channel 10 news. As a result our systems were pushed to their limits and some components malfunctioned. Since then we have upgraded our servers and resolved some bottlenecks. Things are more stable now.

During the past few weeks we started rolling out our new service for Security Camera and DVR owners – JolicamPro. The idea is very very simple (even more simple than Jolicam): We provide you with access to your cameras from your 3G phone.
All you need to get started is a DVR and a 3G phone. Registration is done by email sales@joliper.com or by phone at 03-6806666, and there is nothing to install at all. I’m still working on the automation of this process. We already support the most popular local DVR models including MagicRadar, GeoVision, Win4Net, and AvTech, and we are working hard to get other models up as well. If your DVR is not listed we will be happy to hear from you.
Once registered, usage is very simple and straightforward: video call our system, enter your pin, and watch whatever it is you have your cameras pointed at. That’s all.
Now I know that some of you might be thinking “this isn’t really new. I can connect to my DVR from my laptop, and from my smart phone via the Internet”. All true. But is mobile internet really that easy? and what about the times when you are out of the office and don’t have Internet for your laptop? Simplicity and mobility, in my opinion, are the two advantages that make this service really useful.
